Looking Back:  Two Years Later.

Mission Second Honeymoon - All Missions Accomplished!

Mission Second Honeymoon – All Missions Accomplished!

OK, technically, it’s a little more than two years later.  More like 2 years and a few months.  Between my day job and living in China, things got a little busy.  I may yet do a little tweaking here and there.  I need to take photos of some of the souvenirs and add those.  Still, I’m officially declaring that posting Mission Second Honeymoon in FengHuang is complete.  I’m very pleased, since this means that the Lunatic Love and Romance section of my website is now caught up (at least until I figure out how to edit videos).

So, what’s changed?  When I first went on our second honeymoon in FengHuang, my lovely wife and I were sponsoring 4 children through MilliCharity, one each in Guangxi, Jiangxi, Guangdong, and Hunan provinces (the girl in Feng Huang featured in this story).  Since then, somewhere along the way, we added a second child in Guangxi as well as another one in Feng Huang, Hunan.  Not too long ago, we added two more in Feng Huang.

The good news?  The second girl in Feng Huang was a little bit older than the rest and has just completed trade school to become a tour guide.  The boy in Jiangxi will be graduating from high school in a few more months.

Looks like I need to pick out at least 2 more children to sponsor.

In other good news, I’m less than 11 weeks away from my 5th wedding anniversary.  Hmmmnn . . .  how to celebrate?  I think I’ll apply for my Chinese green card and think about what to do for a Third Honeymoon.

I’ll try to keep more caught up on these events and post about them shortly after they actually happen.

And, in the meantime, here are a few more pics from Mission Second Honeymoon in FengHuang:

December 2018 Update:  I’ve gone through every page of the EscapedLunatic.com website and this is the last one.  Cleaning up typos was one reason.  Far more important was replacing all the PhotoBucket images with images at my hosting company.  First, the replaced all my pics with an image demanding $399 a year for external image hosting.  Then the images came back for an unspecified amount of time, but they wanted a smaller amount of money if I didn’t want them to disappear again.  Then they watermaked the images with “Proudly hosted by PhotoBucket” and wanted money if I wanted the watermark removed.  At this point, I do not trust that PhotoBucket might not keep changing their minds (and fees) over and over again.  I’m not going to pay them anything.

All images are now hosted right alongside all the text.  EscapedLunatic.com is now 100% PhotoBucket free.   (Farewell PhotoBucket.  Farewell forever.)

Now, at last, I can work on bringing new content to the site without worrying about whether or not all the pics will be visible.
