A Must-Visit Site for Expats in China
I’ll probably get around to adding a resources or links page later on, but I wanted to get this information posted in early. If you are even thinking about joining the ranks of expats in China, there’s a site you need not just to visit, but to join.
RaoulsChinaSaloon.com is a critical source of information for any of you crazy foreigners out there who want to live or work in China.
The Saloon is primarily for expats who teach English, plan to teach English, or have formerly taught English in China. I found it when I was looking for my first job in China. It’s been a critical lifeline to others around China and the world. Don’t be frightened away if you aren’t a teacher. There are plenty of long-term expats at the Saloon who have other jobs.
No matter how important or trivial the question, there’s always someone at the Saloon willing to give you good advice – unless I answer, in which case the advice might be a little on the crazy side.
